Andy 60s Music Goes Japanese and Tennessee Whiskey.
I Ask if She Knows 'Tennessee Whiskey' and This Singer Steals The Show. YouTube Video by: DØVYDAS.
Must thank the creator of the above video DOVYDAS for the elegant and stylish way it turned out. Shelby with her natural beauty and charisma coupled with Dovydas’ control of the steel guitar and his own professionalism, blew my mind away! Respect! 👏
There are 2 parts to this posting. You can just watch the video above or read about whiskey and me below. Or do both…
WHISKEY AND ME:
I've never featured liquor songs on this blog before, maybe one or two about soft drinks and about drinking during the 60s at T-Dances and nightclubs. Nothing much and none about liquor, only soft drinks since I am a teetotaler.
Imagine the shock I received when a friend took me to a wine shop at Orchard Road and I saw this bottle of Japanese whiskey costing S$21,000. Gosh! And they could go up to a million dollars or more? Per bottle! The only liquor price I know are the canned beers that cost like, what, $2.50 each?
But with AI and its vast store of information I found out more about whiskey. Interesting indeed.
(Image) They drink it in the West. Even the empty bottles can be sold at a price.
I also remember a song that was so popular those years during the mid-80s when living in a western country, I heard it daily from the Caucasian boys next to my apartment. It was George Jones, TENNESSEE WHISKEY, a pop 1981 hit. It was revived by Chris Stapleton a few years ago.
There's no list on this posting on whiskey prices or songs but the video above features the song itself. And Tennessee whiskey, I understand, costs a fraction at about $500 a bottle? Now that's a price difference.
Hope to feature soon about whiskey songs? Anyone familiar with them?
[Thanks EDDY ENG for introducing me to the whiskey world. But I won’t try it for sure. Can’t afford.]
They drink it in the East. Japanese whiskey, as mentioned, can cost a lot.

Andy, The $2,365.00 Yamasaki is more than just a drink. It is a collector's item. Because it is so rare, its value will appreciate with time. For drinking, try a humbler Glenfiddich 12 single malt.
Yes Cedric! She seems to be a little bit on the run too considering it’s her birthday. But it is a sexy song with her at the mic. Thanks for an enlightening comment. 😍
Thank you Andrew, wonderful song about whisky. I love whisky but I have reduced my drinking due to health reasons. But may go back to enjoy it again. My favourite are Japanese Boutique whisky, rich full of flavour and very much cheaper than the over priced big brands. We should meet and talk about music and whisky.
Wow! That’s interesting Johnny. I didn’t know. Must take a sip one of these days. Yes music and whiskey should go well together. Thanks Johnny. We must go out again soon.
On another note, in Singapore we do not have enough local buskers who are entertainer to perform in public places. I like to go to Tiong Bahru market on weekends as there are usually buskers playing there.
Of international level, not really. But there are some local buskers who perform reasonably well. I must check out Tiong Bahru soon but the last time I was there I could only see one. And he was good!
Heard, Chinese Prefer Brandy To Whiskey but Then Again, What Do I Really Know About Those Hard Liquor, When I'm a Tea-Guy.
That Song, Tennessee Whiskey, is Nice n Cool In A Glass On The Rocks. For Me Somehow, The Most Famous Whiskey: Born 1820, Still Going Strong .... Red, Black, Blue Label.
If There Are More Colors Than That, Pls Forgive My Ignorance.👌👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Charlie Daniels: 10 Essential Songs: The Charlie Daniels Band is best known for their signature 1979 smash hit "The Devil Went Down to Georgia".
Other iconic southern rock and country hits include "Long Haired Country Boy," "The South's Gonna Do It Again," "The Legend of Wooley Swamp," "In America," and "Uneasy Rider". (AI)

Thanks for the extra lesson Eddy. Learnt a lot from you. CHEERS.
Ahhh what a great song and although it was executed rather on the run, it still had the punch of the whisky and the highs of alcohol. Cheers 🥃🥃

You’re right MERLIN. Chinese folks prefer brandy which goes with the famous holler, YAM SENG, a toaster’s delight. Thanks for the valuable comment.
Jack Daniels is the Tennessee Whiskey & the other one is the late Charlie Daniels (C&W fiddler) of the Charlie Daniels Band.
