This song reminded me of my first love; losing her and the tears streaming down my cheeks...

Ah yes, Andy.
I remember the song but for the love me I can say it brought any special memories. I wonder why?

There's a reason for every reason.

Lovely song as with PUNCH AND JUDY SHOW.
Both songs on the same CASCADES ALBUM that I have.

There's a reason why I like this song.
It has an introduction similar to PRETTY BLUES EYES, by STEVE LAWRENCE, my usual fave song for the stage.

Thanks STEPHEN HAN and SOMKID LAKHAWAT for being the first two to like this song.

Thank you Brother Andy for putting this out for us to enjoy. I have always loved this track too. A random moment just popped into my head. From my younger days when living in a kampung at Hindhede Drive back in the 60s my dad will played another song from this cherished album.

It’s 2024 and my dad passed away back in 2001 when I was 45. I’m 68 now, and listening to this song.. reminds me of my dad. The music of your time is so much better than it is now.
👍❤️🥰

Nice song but too similar to many other songs of that era.

Andy Young
Michael Lee you have a point. It's got that standard rhythm and notes that flooded the market those years. Simple and soothing... but I like it.

Andy Young
Freda Hanum perhaps Michael is right? What do you think?

Andy Young Well...hard to say...maybe... but song is still a song ,
There could be lots of similarity yet still is different from another especially the lyrics.

Andy Young
Freda Hanum, you've got much feel and understanding in what you do. That's why you are successful with your music career. Individuality and an interpretation of each song; key words. Thanks Freda. Always great to chat with you. 🙂

Because of responses from Mike and Freda, I've added a question on the title: "ARE CERTAIN SONGS ALWAYS SIMILAR?"

Andy Young I learnt from AMR - Audio Media Research - Peavey during a broadcasting workshop in mid 90s that people listen to music in 4 ways. Visually through the eyes, audibly through the ears, sensationally with our skins but the most important is with our brains. Hence, whether a song or video is successful depends on the acceptance of the human mind. That is why in sound engineering there is a term called psychoacoustic.

Andy Young
Michael Lee thanks. That's a very informative piece and your important visit.

I still feel that the songs from the past are classics, but people today don’t appreciate them.

Is it because of privilege issues or other issues that it is banned?

Andy Young
No mention of any song being banned...

Ange La
What song is this that you miss so much?

Andy Young
No song is missed. It's appreciating the song that has been posted, called THERE'S A REASON.
