A great song selection for a timely Christmas message and he knows his pop music well, like he knows his makan makanan [food].
He's been writing time and again, making comments, but recently more often. Thanks suituapui; always appreciate a long term friendship. He loves food and writes a blog. You can check him out. His name spells, 'BEAUTIFUL FAT GUY'.
'Fat', I'm not sure, but 'beautiful' he is indeed.

P.S.
Shirley Nair and the Silver Strings came to Sibu in the 60's. I remember Merlin. The Quests came too. I spent a year in Singapore, 1973. I saw Heather & the Thunderbirds, Anita Sarawak, Tracy Huang...went to see Lulu live at the National Theatre. The good old days!
OK folks
There you are, enjoy his blog.
If you can, write an article about the shows you saw.
I shall post it on the blog and if you have pictures, better still.
Suituapui [pui = fat].
It's ok being called a Fatso rather than bloated or swollen.
Cheers.
It's his trademark.
An attractive one, definitely.
I like it.
Lovely song, lovely voice indeed 👍
Thanks, Audie, for your kind thought.
I guess it depends on the tone but "Ah Pui" can be an endearing name. Nice & cuddly. LOL!!!
Btw, you were in the Silver Strings that came to Sibu with the late Shirley Nair. I remember those autographed black and white photos.
Mine, all gone now - lost them in a flash flood one Christmas night many years ago. I kept them in the bottom drawers in the cabinet - all gone - photos, autograph books, song books, handwritten songbooks. So sad.

[A MERLIN LIM SONG TITLE COMBINATION]
Andy, thanks to suituapui, your wonderful guest from Sarawak. I like those nostalgic record covers, esp Herman's Hermits and our local talent, Naomi & the Boys. They remind me of my teen years in the swinging '60s. When we were schooling, we had not enough pocket money to buy records we liked then. So, I used to share costs with my brother to make some purchases. Hahaha ! Those happy years gone by.
Hi FL
Thanks again for your note.
Yes record covers are work of art.
We adore the cover, appreciate the pictures
and hold it while listening to the song.
And it's true; 2 dollars was a lot
of money those years.
I saved a long time to buy even one LP,
which could cost 10 dollars then.
Hear from you again soon FL.
The great 60s - Naomi on one hand and the Crescendos on the other - those were halcyon days to savor and remember.
