Shirley Nair and the Silver Strings came to Sibu in the 60's. I remember Merlin. The Quests came too. I spent a year in Singapore, 1973. I saw Heather & the Thunderbirds, Anita Sarawak, Tracy Huang...went to see Lulu live at the National Theatre. The good old days!

Btw, you were in the Silver Strings that came to Sibu with the late Shirley Nair. I remember those autographed black and white photos.
Mine, all gone now - lost them in a flash flood one Christmas night many years ago. I kept them in the bottom drawers in the cabinet - all gone - photos, autograph books, song books, handwritten songbooks. So sad.

Andy, thanks to suituapui, your wonderful guest from Sarawak. I like those nostalgic record covers, esp Herman's Hermits and our local talent, Naomi & the Boys. They remind me of my teen years in the swinging '60s. When we were schooling, we had not enough pocket money to buy records we liked then. So, I used to share costs with my brother to make some purchases. Hahaha ! Those happy years gone by.
