The Prince's Garni Hotel in the 60's which is along Orchard Road.
Recognise this place?
What building has replaced it now?
Beside the tea dances at the cinemas, tell us your weekend experience at this famous Singapore hotel. Clue: The Dukes.
More about them soon.

Mystery to me really. I fails the test. Anyone knows? Sigh, i missed all the funs.
The Crown Prince Hotel presently stands in this same area along Orchard Road.
No idea at all frankly? Good idea to jog our memory.
Actually the resident band at the Prince's Hotel Garni, The Dukes, drew a roaring crowd on Sunday afternoons.
I hope to interview someone from the band soon so he can let in on some happenings.
Andy
My father in law used to play for The Dukes. His name is Evans Barnabas. Not sure if that rings a bell but he may prove to be a worthy person to interview. Email: juliusaf@yahoo.com.sg
