RIP: Jim Marshall Invented Affordable Amplifiers
Based in Milton Keynes, England, Father of Loud has passed on at 88 years young. Jim Marshall invented an amplifer in the 60s cheaper than American made ones that were popular in the market then.
Peter Townshend, Ritchie Blackmore, John Entwistle of The Who, Slash from Guns n Roses, American-Blues rock guitarist Joe Bonamassa and bands like, Cream, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Led Zeppelin were some of the musicians who used Marshall amplifiers.
