RIP: Dick Clark America's Oldest Teenager

Dick Clark, a radio and TV personality from the 60s and a game-show host has passed on at 82 years. Famous for his American Bandstand programme and a long career as a top-40 radio countdown show personality, he began in 1963 when he hosted, The Dick Clark Radio Show.

He was also known as America's oldest teenager and spanned a career of about 40 years long. Clark died of a heart attack on April 18, 2012.

"For now, Dick Clark, so long..."   Memories anyone?

Will be sadly missed......because of him, we are able to watched singers of the 50s and 60s performing their hits on TV & video.

Yes, many of the video clips are filmlets of Dick Clark's TV show from American Bandstand without which we won't be able to savour the 50s and 60s.

Our free channels rarely air programs hosted by Dick Clark. They did but that was many many years ago. Dick was a great host for popular music and songs. I do miss Dick's programs.

I meant to explain that some of the clips we watch on You Tube are from Dick Clark's show.
