The Strollers' recorded in stereo the song, New Woman on Side One. On Side Two were four tracks promoting the milk product in English, Malay, Cantonese and Hokkien. The back jacket displays the lyrics and milk product. The front cover (image) is beautifully designed with three pretty Asian ladies depicting the new woman.
It is common knowledge that vinyl records were used in the 60s and 70s for advertisement purposes. And popular singers and bands were used to attract customers. Do you have this piece of vinyl?

wow thanks for the info...
Thanks Nan for visiting again. Kalau ada khabar2 berkenaan kugiran2 60an Malaysia or Singapore, please advise.
Cheers.
The record cover is beautiful as I find it very Asian, with its pretty oriental girls and sarong-batik green with the Strollers motif.
Song is good. I have this record.
Anything on song New Woman. Cannot find on internet. Help.
Yes, I have some EP 45 rpm collections from The Strollers, Jade&Pepper, October Cherrish, Samuel Hui and other Phillipines, Malaysian Artist and was collected from 1960.
Thanks for all.
THANKS FREDA. One of the best pop groups those years with him. 2 short write-ups on the blog. I shall put them up in his honour. Strollers also did an advertisement on milk for Her World magazine with a recording called NEW WOMAN by the STROLLERS. I like your picture with the late Mr Hassan. RIP HASSAN IDRIS.
Thank you Andy, indeed the unforgetable legendary Strollers, really sad to see most of the best musicians had gone from this world, bless their souls🙏😪

Did not realize you had an article on Strollers in 2009, so great of you indeed, your blog really had unforgetable histories, Andy.

Thank you Freda for your comment. Yes, I try to reach out to whatever pop music bands there were around our region but it is impossible. I came across the STROLLERS because of their vinyl NEW WOMAN advertised in HER WORLD then. The content page under MALAYSIAN IDOLS and MALAY HERITAGE, the blog has quite a number of stories too.
I was not familiar with the group, but this is the first time I have heard their LP. I remembered hearing some songs in the original in the early 70s.

Thanks Hiroshi, Yes, they are a great group altogether. Pity we lose these musicians at such an age when they are still able to contribute.
