Hippy Hippy Shake Veronica & Silver Strings

Veronica Young with The Silver Strings doing the hottest song in her repertoire, Hippy Hippy Shake, made famous by The Swinging Blue Jeans in 1963/1964 and composed by Chan Romero in 1959.
It's a beautiful, clear and colourful shot of the boys and Veronica, taken with a little camera from the left balcony of Orchid Ballroom.

I have just heard the Swinging Blue Jeans' Hippy Hippy Shake on You Tube. My hands were tapping along with the song.

Heard Swinging Blue Jeans' for the first time. Thanks for the introduction.

Thank you BC. Many of the 60s songs have this rhythm that puts you in the mood to hand or foot tap to the music.
The Blue Diamonds from Holland has a Country and Western song, "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You", that you might love. It's not as fast but could put you in the same mood to hand-tap as you listen.
I am sure you are familiar with The Blue Diamonds.

Heard The Blue Diamonds on Youtube for the first time yesterday. Very harmonious and plesant-sounding duo. Like them! Thanks for your recommendation.

As for the song "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You", I have LPs of Jim Reeves and Slim Whitman that contain this song. It is a nice song.

Yes, Western and Country music, your favourite, has also been recorded with a rock beat. Another one, "Red River Valley" has become "Red River Rock" and instrumentalised by Johnny & The Hurricanes. Great stuff!
