Sands Singapore Or Elvis Club From Las Vegas?

The Elvis Presley vivalasvegas Fan Club has written to Singapore60sMusic on the GI Blues posting. Welcome to Singapore. Surfers can join them.

This club's goal is to commemorate the memory & legacy of Elvis in Las Vegas - his contributions to Entertainment and Charity. This club is for Elvis fans to have the opportunity to have fun, make new friends, and promote "The King of Vegas".

We focus our charity work LOCALLY, just like Elvis used to do when he had his souvenir booths at the Hilton International and out of state fans are most welcome, but much of the activity of this club is for local and Vegas area fans who can attend our meetings & activities. But no matter where you are, see what it's like to experience that Elvis/Vegas connection."

Incidentally, 'Freedom', was one of the songs played to us during our lesson. I feel really lucky that I am able to read the stories of the people who wrote this song, and no less from the lead singer himself." BUBBLE GUM MUSIC & THE BAN IN SINGAPORE

Remember bubblegum music from around 1967 to 1972? Or was it bubblegum rock, bubblegum pop, or simply bubblegum. It was a genre of pops with an upbeat sound marketed to appeal to teenagers. Popular groups like 1910 Fruitgum Company, The Ohio Express and The Archies were representative of bubblegum music and the most successful bubblegum song was Sugar, Sugar. Afterwards in 1969 bubble gum singer Tommy Roe came along, sang Dizzy and it became a hit. Bubble gum too was banned in Singapore. JIMMY CHNG [DRUMMER OF DECIBELS SAID: Bubble gum music with their lively and bouncy beat can effectively perk you up whenever you're feeling glum. I believe there was a minister who made a remark in parly probably during the motion to ban the sale of chewing gum here? He likened chewing gummers to cows chewing cud! Explaining the existence of the RED RIVER VALLEY, both river and song and their origins. This blog has been rejuvenated because of additional information. Also the song Red River Valley has been made popular in Singapore in the 2000's. I have been singing a rock interpretation, one which has never been done before (correct me). Only the country n western one and the rock instrumental have been recorded by many pop artistes. I have since included the song which is on You Tube; it is the song after 'Diana' during our concert at the Orchid Country Club Singapore in 2009. Hope you all enjoy it.
