Lulu - To Sir With Love - 1964. It is truly a classic and students, who have somehow learnt it, will play it during assembly on Teachers' Day in Singapore. Lulu is a Scottish singer/songwriter and everything else rolled into one. The song was an international hit in the 60s and one with the best first liner: "Those school-girl days/Of telling tales and biting nails are gone..."
