Goodbye To Mary Tyler Moore

RIP Mary Tyler Moore. (1936-2017) has passed away on 25 January, 2017.

Different snippets of opening title on videos. Just love the concluding lines to her theme song, "You're gonna make it after all."

It was a big hit in the 1970's in Singapore, with a prime time sit-com for female leading lady, 30 years young, Mary Tyler Moore. My wife and my mother (her ma-in-law) were glued to the show every week, dinner in hand.

Love is all around.😊

The song was written and performed by Sonny Curtis, who was from The Crickets, Buddy Holly's group. He also wrote tunes for Bobby Vee, Andy Williams and Everly Brothers.

And Singaporean ladies, single and free were humming it in cars and buses.

Who can turn the world on with her smile?
Who can take a nothing day,
And suddenly make it all seem worthwhile?
Well it's you girl, and you should know it
With each glance and every
Little movement you show it
Love is all around, no need to waste it
You can never tell, why don't you take it
You're gonna make it after all
You're gonna make it after all
(By Sonny Curtis)
