U.S. 60s Invasion - The VENTURES - "Perfidia"

The Ventures (U.S.), as popular as The Shadows (U.K.), had their melodies played by our own local bands. The more popular ones included, "Perfidia", "Hawaii Five-O" and "Telstar".

Hawaii Five-O was my favourite TV show. I particularly liked the theme music. BAMBANG

'The Ventures' are guitar gurus to many Singapore groups in the 60s. Music tutors from the late 50s to the 70s use music books with 'Ventures' compositions to teach notes and chords. Other popular guitar music books are by 'The Shadows', Les Paul & Mary Ford and Chet Atkins.
