Your blog isn’t just about music—it is music. You’ve captured the soul of the 1960s and spun it into stories. From the poetic pulse of Dylan and the harmonies of Peter, Paul & Mary, to the electric guitar sound of Jimi Hendrix, the stormy rock of Jim Morrison, and the surfin' music of Brian Wilson and the Beach Boys—your writing hits every note. And anchoring it all: the cross culture boundary-breaking brilliance of The Beatles.

But more than a music , your blog has become a community. From Singapore, you’ve reached 4.2 million readers around the world—not by chance, but through passion, persistence, and the spirit of “suma mun buleh.”

I still start some mornings with your blog—drawn in by your sharp insights, witty lines, and the way you bring old records back to life. You’ve turned memory into melody, nostalgia into connection.

Andy—you are a man with a jukebox heart and a writer’s soul.

Wow!!! That's a mile long praise Henri. Thank you. You've been a guide too, all the way from the beginning when the blog started. And we were strangers. Just shows the heart you have within.

You gave all you had with information about SG music and the bands you were involved in. And being a lead guitarist with THE TREKKERS, you easily identified with other artistes, DJs, musicians, etc. from Rediffusion, RTS and SG 60s music enthusiasts.

Thanks Henri very, very much. Kind soul you are indeed!

Happy Tay [Vancouver, Canada]:

I didn't really do much. U deserved all the credit for the very successful blog on S'pore history my friend. I knew from the beginning that it will be a great success as Singapore & Singaporeans loved to look back at their history.
That's why the oldies shows with the '60s & 70s 'Legends' are most of the time widely attended. 👍🏻👍🏻😂😅

Andy: Pop Music Not Pills:

Many thanks Happy. You have always been a great help and cheer leader with this blog. Far away but you're always close by to be of assistance anytime.
