A friend, John Lim, wrote to Chat GPT and asked, "Tell me about Andy Young's Singapore 60s music blog?" 𝅘𝅥𝅯𝅘𝅥𝅰𝆕
The reply came:
"Andy Young's Singapore 60s Music is a blog dedicated to the music of the 1960s in Singapore. It is run by Andy Young, a music enthusiast and collector who has been researching and collecting Singaporean music from the 1960s for many years.
The blog features reviews of music from the era, as well as interviews with musicians and other Singaporean music aficionados. It also includes a comprehensive discography of Singaporean music from the 1960s, and a list of recommended albums. The blog is a great resource for anyone interested in the music of Singapore in the 1960s 𝅘𝅥𝅯𝅘𝅥𝅰𝆕."
"ChatGPT is a language model that understands and generates human-like language. It can produce poetry and stories and discuss current events and intellectual discussions.
It is ideal if you want an AI helper for business or just want to communicate with a computer. Its advanced language abilities and algorithms are revolutionizing machine-human interaction. Marion Dubois: Filmora.wondershare.com"
I must thank young engineer, John Lim, who checked out the information on his own, to verify the blog's value and authenticity.

Andy,
"I found out that AI runs off specially designed microprocessor chips whose algorithms are into either mathematical analysis or non mathematical, and this is further broken into higher GPU elements (which gets into art, design, architecture, etc) or prose (letter writing, stories, text, etc). Nvidia leads in this area.
The standard traditional microprocessors are more attuned towards number crunching like those produced by Intel and AND. And fine-tuned to a friendlier architecture designed by ARM Technologies, a British firm, and used by Qualcomn and Samsung aimed at Mobile devices. Apparently, MPUs to handle Quantum Processing is also of a different architecture. They have evolved much since the days I was in semiconductor assembly."
All's Good & Verified.

ReplyDeleteHa, ha, the comment given by ChatGPT is accurate... scary right!
We need to ask again. What is 'being human'?

ReplyDeleteReally creepy!
And the analysis is in seconds about any topic. I guess to me now: they're the ones who are still in control of these machines.
Thanks for taking time off for a chat especially with your busy schedule.
Thanks Irene.
ReplyDeleteComments from you are always encouraging!
Hey Victor.
ReplyDeleteYou're always ahead of news items.
ChatGPT's pretty slick I must say... in trawling and plagiarizing information that's available in cyberspace?
ReplyDeleteI do that too but isn't it the norm today? Summarize and write an original ideal.
ReplyDeleteBut Chat also creates it own, right?

ReplyDeleteAndy Young Excellent description of your blog. AI when applied correctly is useful. When used otherwise is like Dr Phil Chan said it is scary. In my opinion it can also destroy the human race.
ReplyDeleteMichael Lee you're right!!! That's truth enough. It is dangerous, I mean, any technology mishandled will go haywire; unless there are humans intelligent enough to control them. Thanks, Mike You're always a wonderment with your forthright comments.
Cheers!
I think the scary thought Dr Phil Chan is thinking of is the possibility of robots becoming the matters and humans the slaves.

ReplyDeleteyou can edit and send my comments to your blog...
ReplyDeleteDid you?
Did you write this blog using ChatGPT, I wonder, hahaha... just kidding.
These days,A1 machine learning can do much of the work, but can readers tell the difference?
Even though ChatGPT can process al the information and date it has been fed, it cannot create new ideas.
Writers like you, Andy, with original ideas and stories to tell, will beat A1 any day!
Even ChatGPT admits to this. Here's a screenshot when I asked the question:
[Screenshot is lengthy. If anyone is interested write in; Andy will provide it on email.]

THANKS TO ALL THE ABOVE VIEWERS WHO LIKE,
LOVE AND ARE THINKING ABOUT THE TOPIC SERIOUSLY
I do remember when we had to do research from books then the Internet arrived and we had help with or research. ChatGPT is a boon but then it's doing the complete research with an essay report. The results are accurate and al we can do is sit back and see what new world it opens.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all the good musical flashbacks of the times of our lives.

Andy, I found out that AI runs off specially designed microprocessor chips whose algorithms are into either mathematical analysis or non mathematical, and this is further broken into higher GPU elements (which gets into art, design, architecture, etc) or prose (letter writing, stories, text, etc). ReplyDelete我一直认为新加坡的音乐和中国的一样。
[I always think Singapore music is the same as China.]
Hi FL,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your constant support through the years.
I know that without inspiration and information from friends like you this blog won't have been.
I would like to wish you health and happiness too FL. Please feel free to write to me anytime you are in Singapore. We should meet one of these days...
Stay safe and keep your mask on!
Thanks to Lin Kai who writes in Chinese.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful that you compare Singapore music with China's as there are similarities because of our Asian culture and background.
