Bob Dylan:
For Times They Are A Changin'
Come Senators, Congressmen...
Please heed the call.
PEANUTS: Charles M. Schulz.
Peppermint Patty:
What surprises you most about this Corona Virus predicament?
Charlie Brown:
It has done what no woman has been able to do. Cancel all sports,
shut down all bars and keep men at home.
Cary Cooper during a scene in 'High Noon' (1952). Looks somewhat familiar today.
Husband:
We are told to stay safe, stay home!
Wife:
Yes, so keep your social distance! 10 metres away!
Seriously? It's not an April Fool joke. So listen to what the authorities and health specialists are telling you. Stay home because the times are a changin'.
Some good advice from this 60's group:
Close the door, light the lights
We're stayin' home tonight
Far away from the bustle and the bright city lights
Let them all fade away, just leave us alone
And we'll live in a world of our own...
(Composer: Tom Springfield)
Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside
And it is ragin'.
It'll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'.
(Composer: Bob Dylan)

AMIDST COVID-19
ReplyDeleteStay strong and safe.
We can do it together.
Lawrence Wong has shown his mettle and proven to be a calm, capable leader during these trying times. This virus has tested the souls of men. It has separated the brave from the faint-hearted, the unselfish from the selfish. the true leader from the false.
ReplyDeleteLawrence Wong has proved himself to be a true leader. His emotional outburst is a sign of how appreciative he is of the front-line health workers amidst the callous selfish attitude of those who travelled and brought back the virus.
While he worked and the health care workers slogged to keep the infected cases down, these callous travellers jack the numbers up. It's very sad to see such people in our midst.
Thanks Andy.
ReplyDeleteHello Andy,
I am good.
Been so busy at work.
Hope you are well too.
Take good care.
How would you appreciate good health, happiness and peace without experiencing pain, worries and problems?
ReplyDeleteHeaven and Hell is a place on earth. We don't have to wait for them. Because when we expire, we may not be reconstituted with the same interfaces we have now.
DR. FAUCI UNVEILS A MASK THAT COULD SAVE MILLIONS OF LIVES!
ReplyDeleteTHE MAGIC MASK?
IT'S ONE COVERING THE DONALD'S MOUTH.
Well I see hands, and I've seen tear-stained faces
ReplyDeleteReaching up but not quite touching the promised land
Well, I taste tears and a precious year is wasted
Say lord please, send us a helping hand
Well, everybody can hear the sound of freedom's beating heart
Sirens flashing with earth and rockets stoning
You better love me like it's gonna be the last time
And tell the child to bury daddy's old clothes
lyrics to "Earth Blues" by Jimi Hendrix. 1970
(YES, JIMI HENDRIX ODE TO MOTHER EARTH. NOT WRITTEN TODAY.
BUT DECADES AGO IN 1970 just before his death.
Jimi was always, as Martin Luther King, Tutu, Mandela
beyond consciousness and outspoken.
he, like Robert Lamm of Chicago,etc.. was always telling our leaders..
as stevie Wonder most recently.. how can anyone not see
when as blind as i am, i see a lot of things should be changed..
no one was willing.. to do it..
so Mother Earth is coming down on us !
Andy, it's raining.
ReplyDeleteIt's pouring!
God is fair.
He gives rain to the good and bad fella.
He gives more rain to the good, when the bad stole the good's umbrella.
(Heard from a pastor):-)
The rain comes
ReplyDeleteIn youth I welcome it
Drenched, damp, delicious
The rain comes
Aged, I welcome it
Sheltered, safe, sanguine
Thanks everyone for the news items, greetings & comments.
