Thanks to my readers, friends and 60's music lovers who have been supporting this blog for the past 7 years plus. I know some blogs have millions of hits after only one year but this niche is not a big one, especially Singapore's pop 60's music, which stands as just a minute fraction when compared to the world's.
Mentioning here that this blog has never been statistically enhanced in any way, not by artificial injection with ghost readers nor with the buying of an increased viewership from some websites.
The statistics are genuine and supported by many friends and avid readers who love 60's music, especially Singapore's. And this blog does not carry any advertisements. I welcome interested viewers, not money!
My very supportive writer-contributors and I hope to carry on with this blog for as long as we can.
I still wish more Singaporeans out there will write and tell their music stories; no story is too boring, no tale too short. We each have one to tell.
I'm going for 2 million.
Please write in.
Andy.

Hi Andy,
ReplyDeleteThat's just wonderful. Great image and says it all so well.
Many many thanks!
Hi Andy. With no resources, no professional help and all by yourself, what you have done is remarkable! To say the least! The words of Mr Lee Kuan Yew could be very aptly applied in this instance; The impossible we have achieved, miracles will take a little bit longer!
ReplyDeleteAwesome job Andy! Heartiest congratulations! And the best is yet to come!
SALUTE!!
Congrats Andy you are now a millionaire. Beat y short film 750,000 viewers but anyway we both are from Silver Strings. Cheers.

ReplyDeleteHey Andy,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and celebrations... (Cliff Richard's) on your achievement. Great that you never gave up and are now gaining even more support.
At this stage in our lives, numbers are increasing in some ways and decreasing in others. As I've quoted the bible before, I now say it again, 'He gives us 3 score and 10 years, and each following year is a bonus. But it comes with 'trouble and sorrow... (Psalm 90)'
Am not sure if you're observing the 'no screen day' tomorrow...
So Andy, here's to more years your blogging.

The World of Internet is to me... a big blur, like a sotong. Communicate? Yes we did. I tried my best to put my innermost feelings on to print. Hope I've done a little good to your blog.
ReplyDeleteHey Andy, have you achieved your goal or got more than you expected. Andy, you must have done something good to generate so many readers. Like John Cher...these are words from Mr. Lee Kuan Yew.
If You Can't Get Your Act Together, You Have No Business To Be Here. You have been doing the blog for a long time. Therefore you must have got your act in place already my brother. Please do all of us a big favour... Don't stop!
Thanks Andy. Appreciate all you've done.
Cheers.
Congrats!

Many thanks to everyone for support. A lot of hard work but I enjoy it; and like Henry says to do it while the passion's still there.

ReplyDeleteYour blog listing boosted my page views on the 'No Screen Day' blog - they shot up to 63 views in a day.
A record for the blog's life!!
I hope others benefited from the experience as I did.
And thanks for the fantastic ovation from FACEBOOK group with regards to new FB profile photo that came with the million viewership. Appreciate support even though I joined Facebook not too long ago.

ReplyDelete"How amazing it is that this blog exists for so many to write in to tell their stories.
ReplyDeleteMakes me wish I could go back to the 70's.
I cherish my memories of TMA.
With each new entry to Andy's blog, I would try to recall if I knew the name.
Thank you."
