Singapore Andy 60s Music: When The Weather, The Food, The People, The Relationship Is HOT!!!

I like her grin. She makes everything feel cool already but read on...

Hot Weather:

A high degree of heat; anything beyond 35C is definitely hot. Like in Kuwait City in 2024, it was about 50C. Now, in France too, at 40C and over, shoppers are scrambling to buy cooling appliances. 40C is hot and problems arise with people, places and things when temperature goes beyond expectations!

Hot Food:

Food with lots and lots of chilly and pepper. Now that's HOT STUFF and produces a burning sensation in the mouth. Which countries eat food with lots of chilly in them? Singapore is one with Nasi Padang and Sambal Belacan. Sichuan cold noodles tossed in blazing hot chilli sauce. There’s Spanish tomato-based soup with garlic and chilli pepper. And others.

Hot People:

Now when you're angry, you get hot too and the heat generated may melt the other party. Quarrels between friends, etc. Like in today's world, there are millions of angry citizens because of weak politicians in charge, especially those with no leadership qualities. No need for a hot July or August but silly, angry people who are just frustrated and full of ego, filled with hot air and very negative thinking.

Hot Relationship:

This 'heat' would be similar but it's more positive? Now two people in love and are in a relationship could bring their body temperature up when they are together. What more can I say?

Donna Summer - 'Hot Stuff' (Live) The Donna Summer Special, 1980)
YouTube from: The Donna Summer Archive.

Hot Pop 70s Song:

Which finally brings me to this song by Donna Summer [even her surname! 😉]. It's an extremely hot song so check out the lyrics. I have included only a few lines though:

"I want some hot stuff, baby, this evenin'/Gotta have some hot stuff/Gonna have some love tonight (hot stuff)/I need hot stuff/I want some hot stuff/Lookin' for a lover who needs another..."

Enough quoted! So just be wary when eating hot food on a hot July with a hot partner. It might lead to climate change. And it starts in this month of JULY.

Writing is done in jest.

Comments are welcome folks but do be wary that there are younger readers who check out this blog too.

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

*Heat:

What song begins with the words, "The heat is on..." No googling.
Which gives 'hot' another meaning.

The human body is amazing in so many ways. One of the ways is how it regulates heat. By a process called thermoregulation, it maintains a constant body temperature at 37°C. To dissipate excessive heat, blood vessels near the skin are dilated, cooling blood flow. Sweat on the skin evaporates, cooling and lowering its temperature.

The human body is amazing in more than just discussed. There are self correcting organs and processes within the human body in so many areas and ways, and so many functions and features that it is hard to believe it is a creation of evolution and not the work of the Almighty many simply call God. But not just the human being. Look around us - the huge variety of animals, birds, fish, plants, etc ........and their own ways of life.

  4. Comments that are inappropriate will be edited. Ivor. More and more, the bills are going up. Like the temperature! Thanks for writing in. And Eddy, interesting indeed but your detailed explanation could be too hot for a younger reader. Ron, appreciate your comment too.

Perhaps we could discuss about hot food and the weather that'll be hitting us this month of July and in August. And why there are so many angry people today? Anyone?

  6. Hey, Chris. Thanks for the song titles. Trust you to be able to remember them, being an expert on Pop Music since the 60s. Also, just wondering what is the hottest food available today? Anyone in the know?

The heat's on for sure. But turning on your aircon to enjoy a comfortable sleep will burn a hole in your pocket what with the hefty increase in electricity tariff wef today. Better not play Elvis's Burning Love on your hi-fi coz your room's temperature might shoot up and set the house ablaze. And then you'd have to call 995. Doubt playing Winter Wonderland or Frosty the Snowman would help lower your room's temperature either. Think I'll bring along my sleeping bag and spend the warm nights ahead at Changi Airport.

  8. Brilliant Jimmy. Thanks for the tongue in cheek. Was laughing at the BURNING LOVE and FROSTY contrast. Brrr! Yes, Changi Airport provides free air conditioning.

There was a Marilyn Monroe movie in the past. It was called “Some Like It Hot.” She was hot indeed. Did she have an affair with one very famous president?

It’s on AI that the "hottest food in the world" usually goes to a dish made with the Carolina Reaper, which holds the Guinness World Record for the spiciest chili pepper. Dishes like the Carolina Reaper salsa can hit millions in sales.

  18. Love the ELVIS hit BURNING LOVE mentioned by JIMMY CHNG. The Vegas version where he straddled the guitar was great showmanship indeed. The applause was tremendous. Check it out.

The correct temperature of "HOME" Is maintained by "WARM HEARTS" AND "COOL MINDS". Not by Heaters & Airconditioners.

  20. True true! JIMMY!
Especially if the guy upstairs does his gym activities at 10pm and the chappie next door hits his electronic organ at the same time. Warm hearts n cool minds indeed! These are HOT triggers to start a conflagration! Be mindful. Thanks for the warning.
