Positive advice if it's in BLUE 👍 YES

It's rather dull in town, I think I'll take me to Paris, hmm 👎
The mistress wants to open up the castle in Capri, hmm
Me doctor recommends a quiet summer by the sea, hmm, mmm
Wouldn't it be loverly?

All I want is a room somewhere 👍
Far away from the cold night air
With one enormous chair
Oh, wouldn't it be loverly?

Lots of chocolate for me to eat 👎

Lots of coal makin' lots of heat 👍
Warm face, warm hands, warm feet
Oh, wouldn't it be loverly?

Oh, so lovely sittin'
Abso-bloomin'-lutely still
I would never budge till spring
Crept over me window sill

Someone's head restin' on my knee 👎
Warm and tender as he can be
Who takes good care of me
Oh, wouldn't it be loverly?

Here I am, 48 years later, just in from the pub, finding this recommended to me, with tears running down my face at such wonderful talent.

Corona Virus explained:

John got infected yesterday but he won't know until 14 days later.
Meanwhile he goes around meeting others at parties and chat groups, infecting 10 people a day.
These 10 people move around not knowing they have been infected and do the same.

And so that becomes 10x10 which amounts to 100 people.
So 100x100 infected individuals become ???

Now you know why we should stay at home.

Andy,
great that you keep your blog going in such an uplifting way despite the present difficult times.

It was dark and pouring when I read your post. Since I stopped working and can enjoy a late wake up hour, I would thank God that I didn't have to experience a heavy rain and get wet in the morning nor the same at the end of the day. I sympathise with those workers who have to.

Three days ago I learnt empathy. On Monday late afternoon, I was at a bus stop where gushing waters from a flooded field ran up to my ankles for minutes before the bus came. Taking time to go up with other passengers, saw me drenched.

Yes, we need the rain. But this period we need the sun more and longer hours too to kill the virus. So like the Beatles can we sing 'Here comes the rain' and 'Good day sunshine'.

Hi CYLIN,
Your words are so encouraging.
Thanks for the support all these years.
Yes, the two songs you mentioned could be appropriate indeed.

And thanks to Freda, Stephen and Sui Pang for the comments.

STAY SAFE.
THIS IS THE TIME TO REFLECT
but also...
look at the silver lining...

1) PARENTS ARE FINALLY SPENDING MORE TIME WITH FAMILY.

and perhaps..

WE WILL ALL BEGIN TO BE OUR OWN LEADERS .. AND BE LESS GULLIBLE..
NOT TO BE FLEECED BY SO-CALLED GOD'S ENVOY AND CHOSEN POLITICAL, ETC.. GURUS..bla bla bla
SNAKE OIL SALESMEN...

and be more aggressive, for this planet is not a video game for our leaders..
IT BELONGS TO OUR CHILDREN..
TAKE IT BACK ..
WORLD !!!

although i would not hold my breath that many will change their tunes..

IT IS EASIER TO BE LED THAN TO BE LEADERS...

that is why there are more people who copy than create...

BUT WE CAN TAKE BACK THIS PLANET...

At this critical time now, the whole world is fighting against a silent enemy or killer (covid-19). If we have no business to be out of our home, we must stay home and stay safe. Some have lost their lives, whilst others have survived. Remember, every cloud has a silver lining ! Stay healthy.
