What's In A Name?

What's in a name? It's always an interesting question. Do tell us why you name your band so.

ABBA: Acronym of names of the 4.

Beatles: Original member wanted 'Beetles' since favourite band was 'Crickets' but changed to BEATles, emphasizing the style of play with syllable.

Eagles: American sound. Liked the way it was aligned to The BYRDS who influenced them.

Rolling Stones: From a blues song, 'Rolling Stone' by Muddy Waters, singer/guitarist.

Names are important to label the musical group and sometimes the success of the group could depend on its name.

I must disagree. Groups are successful because they are talented and appeal to the generation.
