Who's The Most Googled 60s Music Celebrity Today?

Who's the most googled 60s music celebrity today?  It's someone you might have forgotten altogether because this lady is more popular than google-listed singers Madonna and Jennifer Lopez, actress Angelina Jolie and socialite Paris Hilton.

And she's from a time when Singapore had just gained her independence in August 1965.  On the same list after Lady Gaga, Justine Bieber and Rihana our sexy lady has a career spanning half a century!

Still guessing huh? Well guess again because this post stops here. One last clue. She is  the 4th most often searched celebrities on Google and gained 340,000,000 results. She's on the right, part of her anyway.

If you know who she is click Post a Comment below and send in your answer, otherwise wait for a few days. And no cheating, no googling for answer :-)

OK, it was easy I guess. And the images were useful. Thanks for the game because the answers came within ten minutes that I posted the article. The first was from anonymous.
I am not much of a Cher fan but here are some of her songs that I remember. Can't forget her sexy eye-lashes, sultry caresses, long tresses  and strange dresses:

1. I Got You Babe with Sonny Bono.
2. Alfie.
3. Bang, Bang, My Baby Shot Me Down.
4. Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves.
5. Will You Love Me Tomorrow.
6. Half Breed.
7. Dark Lady.
8. Baby I Love You and after a long spell,
9. Believe in 1998 with its signature echo shrills and copied by other artistes later.

Saw Cher in her Oscar winning role in Moonstruck, with the final two-line clue from Dean Martin's That's Amore (above) and in Mask, Witches of Eastwick and Silkwood. A good actress she was. Pity Bono passed on. Great act they had. And their shows... Wow!!!

Still drawing the crowds in Vegas today.  She's a living legend.

Hi Andy
I am guessing its Cher - but I am kinda surprised that she is the most 'Googled' 60s music celeb.
You'd be glad to know I didn't cheat but I must say both of your images did help me along he he. If I got it wrong do tell me soon what the answer is and put me out of my misery :)

I remember my band (when we played at the Hilton, Holiday Inn, and the Hyatt at different seasons of our contracts) played a number of Sunny and Cher songs and a few of Cher's too like Gypsies, Tramps, and Thieves....great memories for me.

NB: James Kwok's connection leads to Cher.

Hah! So I got you guys out of the closet. Thanks to Chun See, Anonymous, Byrt and James Kwok for the answer. Yes you guys are really good. But perhaps too many clues.

Byrt, the two images were obvious. When are you going to write another article for the blog? The three hotels that begin with H should prove another interesting read. Let's hear about your 'great memories' again.

I was surprised that Cher is the most googled too. Thought it was Elvis Presley.

Once again thank you all for the visit.

Hi Andy, before I could cheat, others had already beat me to it (answer, I mean, not cheat).

BTW, here are a few more questions about Cher (not a quiz though) - does she naturally has her right eye blue and her left eye brown as you photo of her eyes seems to show? Or is it only the effect of her coloured contact lenses? But 1960s already got coloured contact lenses meh?

Heterochromia Iridum, that's what I read; an individual with different coloured iris. But I don't know about Cher. Does she have it?

Like I explained I am not a fan but always admire her fantastic costumes. How to see eyes?

There's a one hour Cher concert on You Tube worth watching, if you are a fan that is.

You are very observant aren't you Victor? What else do you observe about her? She had many top celebrity boy friends like Presley, Brando, Cruise, Clapton and Beatty.

Thanks for visit. Hope you will do so more often. Whatever happened to Unc Dicko, Peter Chan, WK Tan and the rest?

Maybe this is general knowledge, but I read somewhere that in the beginning, Cher wouldn't venture onstage to sing unless Sonny were there to sing with her (too shy). People do change.

NOW THAT WAS A FANTASTIC OSCAR SPEECH! Nothing pretentious, nothing obnoxious, nothing overly emotional as if she was going to shit in her pants. Just an AMAZINGLY gifted performer remainign calm and collected, remembering where she came from and extending gratitude where it was deserved! In my opinion, I think she's a talented music performer but an extraordinarily GIFTED actress!

Victor,
The photo you saw was taken in 2011 when people could have any color irises they wish.
