A Quiz About K-Pop SKarf And Singapore 60s

Regular readers know pretty well that a quiz is seldom posted on this blog but here's one for 2013:

1. What has a 60s music blog to do with K-Pop?

Answer: It has a musical connection.

2. Yes, we all know that.  What is this connection?

Please write in if you know the answer. No prizes but thank you for the response.

3. More clues? Natasha Low (2nd r) is family to a pop dance group from 60s Tiong
    Bahru.

Hi Andy

Happy New Year!

Could the answer be The Han River Angels? Sixties all-girl group from Korea, big in Singapore?

You're the first to respond. How are you?

It's a connection but this one is much, much closer. You'll be surprised when you know the answer. Clue: It's a direct Singapore 60s connection to K-Pop.

Thanks Steve, really nice to hear from you. Please write in to tell me what you have been doing.

Regards,
Andy.

Edited mail:

Mmm? Could there be a connection with an event organiser that produced the Singapore 60s shows?

Not at all. Nothing to do with any organisation but it has to do with the picture I posted.

That's all I will say. You're great with research. This is a fun one. Try. Sniff this one out. It's really easy.

Regards

Andy,

I know nothing about K-pop! My last guess is that one of the two Singaporean members of Skarf has a Singapore 60s musical ancestor, but I have no idea who. I’ll have to wait until you reveal the answer.

Regards

Andy, my guess is most of them perform in groups. There is hardly any individual or solo performers

Hi Teoh,
Thanks for visit and reply. Well that factor could be a connection but it's not the correct answer.

I think if everyone follows Steve Farram's lead it could solve the mystery.

Hi Andy,

You asking me to give you answer to this when I am not even a proper musician. In addition, no clue, no prize, no nothing... you really taxing too much. (LOL). Just kidding.

I think the common thing is that they are all about 'POP" music - period.

Cheers
